The M Group Awarded Surface Partner by Microsoft   |   October 2, 2008

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 2, 2008 – The interactive multi-touch table, Microsoft Surface, arrived today at The M Group Creative’s downtown Minneapolis office. Microsoft Surface is a multi-touch computer that allows people to grab digital content with their hands, gestures, and real-world objects instead of using a mouse and keyboard.

The M Group is first in the Midwest to receive invitation and status by Microsoft for Surface. This is based on the agency’s client experience in automotive, healthcare, retail, and travel, building iconic brand experiences online and through kiosks.

The touch computing platform provides a 360° experience for multiple people to engage at the same time. “One of the most revolutionary capabilities of the Surface is Object Recognition,” says Michael Bingham, Interactive Strategist at The M Group. People can place physical objects on the screen to trigger different digital responses, providing for a multiple of applications and the transfer of digital content to mobile devices.
The M Group creates enterprise applications that help the agency’s client brands engage their customers through rich interactions, real-time. Surface is one of many platforms and devices for which the agency designs experiences.
