MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 22, 2011 – Millennials, teens to under-30 adults, are a burgeoning buying power and an emerging workforce, outnumbering the Baby Boomers at 70+ million strong. Praised for their optimism, grasp of technology and ability to collaborate, Millennials are also thought to exhibit less-than-ideal professionalism, work ethics, independent and critical thinking skills.
The M Group’s Janessa Meyer will speak to the Minnesota chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Dec. 14, educating this group on the Millennial generation as it pertains to their industry. As entrants to the workforce, the Millennials offer tremendous potential for employers in the financial and insurance industries. As an emerging group of potential clients, Millennials possess certain inherent characteristics to consider in marketing to this powerful generation.
In Tips for Reaching and Engaging Millennials, Meyer will share insights to the behaviors and motivations of the generation as they enter the workforce and begin pursuing financial planning and insurance coverage. The presentation includes tips for internal marketing to Millennials as a workforce and guidance for external marketing to Millennials as a customer base.
