Como Zoo Names The M Group as 2010 Marketing Sponsor   |   February 23, 2010

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 23, 2010 – Como Zoo and Conservatory has named The M Group its new marketing sponsor for Travelers Sunset Affair, the zoo’s premier gala of the year.

“We are very excited to come alongside Como for Travelers Sunset Affair,” said Client Partner Janessa Meyer. “It’s an exquisite night of enjoying the zoo and conservatory and we’re happy to support of the state’s most-visited cultural destination.”

Travelers Sunset Affair draws over 400 of the Twin Cities’ leaders in business, philanthropy, politics and the arts. It raises over $100,000, which helps fund Como, the last free, urban zoo in the nation.

This year, all eyes will be on Buzz and Neil, the zoo’s two polar bears. Funds raised during Travelers Sunset Affair: Glacier Nights will go toward the bears’ new habitat, Polar Bear Odyssey. The event takes place July 22nd at Como.

Travelers Sunset Affair is a significant part of a larger campaign to raise $18.8 million for a major overhaul of the zoo. Nearing that goal, the zoo has raised over $17 million thus far.
